Problem
Industrial equipment like exchangers and condenser in refineries and power plants, respectively, often experiences scale, corrosion, and deposit buildup, which reduces efficiency, increases energy use, and causes blockages. This leads to higher maintenance costs, reduced heat transfer, and potential system failures. Conventional cleaning methods may be ineffective, and harsh chemicals can damage equipment and harm the environment.
Solution
Chemical cleaning, also called Passivation involves using specialized chemicals to dissolve and remove harmful deposits, corrosion, and scale from pipes, heat exchangers, and other industrial equipment. This method, combined with high-pressure washing or other techniques, provides a thorough and non-damaging cleaning process, restoring system efficiency without causing harm to the equipment.
How it is done
Chemical cleaning involves isolating the equipment, selecting a suitable cleaning solution, and circulating it through the system to remove the corrosion or scale. The solution is monitored, and after sufficient cleaning, the system is rinsed to remove any remaining chemicals. Finally, the system is inspected and returned to normal operation, restoring efficiency and preventing damage.
